Prepare and lead two workshops per day, one for the morning and one for the afternoon session. Collaboration with local teachers is encouraged. Focus on creativity, dancing, singing nursery rhymes, storytelling, and other engaging activities.
While the school provides some supplies, it’s advisable to check with us for specific items required for creative workshops. Essential materials include ordinary pencils, crayons, sharpeners, scissors, erasers, glue, water-based crayons, coloured paper, games, instruments, books in English, and educational posters.
Volunteers enjoy afternoons and weekends exploring the countryside or relaxing on the beach. We assist in organizing workshops, guided tours, and various activities.
Stories of Our Volunteers
This can’t be started differently than to say that the experience was amazing, and it truly warmed my heart. If you are thinking of going to The Gambia as a volunteer, don’t wait any longer – just go for it. You won’t regret it. I know I should start at the beginning, so I’ll go back now.
