Our Journey
TARGET: Rebuilding and Securing the Nursery Fence in Brufut Ghana Town
STATUS:Ongoing – Started in Mid-March 2025
This small nursery school has been a beacon of hope for young children, but due to its old and damaged fence, it has experienced multiple break-ins, resulting in the loss of school materials, water pumps, and furniture. Without a secure environment, these children risk losing access to essential education and resources.
To prevent future incidents and create a safer learning space, we are raising funds to reconstruct the fence with durable materials and security wiring.
So far, we have successfully acquired 60 bags of cement, which we are using to produce 1,800 blocks for construction. Additionally, we have covered transport costs for cement and other materials and invested in cash power (electricity) to support the building phase.
What's Next?
While construction is underway, additional funds are needed to:
- Purchase more materials to complete the structure
- Cover workforce payments
- Buy and install protective netting
- Raise the fence higher for enhanced security
Estimated Additional Costs are 70,000 GMD
