Emergency Assistance Project
The Intervention Assistance Project provides rapid, professional, and targeted support to individuals and families in The Gambia who find themselves in unexpected life crises or emergency situations requiring immediate action. Its core purpose is to recognize distress in time, prevent its escalation, and ensure basic safety, stability, and a sense of community support.

Since 2013 – ongoing
Objective
• To provide immediate assistance in cases of natural disasters • To support individuals and families facing serious health or social challenges (illness, loss of parents, sudden life changes) • To enable sponsorship or material support in cases such as childbirth or other exceptional circumstances • To establish a network of volunteers and donors capable of delivering fast, concrete assistance (food, clothing, hygiene supplies, financial aid)

Who Have We Helped So Far?
May 2024 – Emergency Support for a Family with Triplets
In May 2024, a rapid and coordinated intervention was launched to support a family in which a mother, Ndey Sarr, gave birth to triplets. Immediately after birth, essential support was provided, including baby food and necessary medication for the mother.
Today, all three children are healthy and developing well. Each child now has a sponsor, providing the family with additional stability and long-term security.
In November 2025, sponsors and volunteers Mojca and Vida visited the family, bringing new clothes, toys, and a small financial donation. The visit also provided crucial emotional support and reassurance that the family is not alone.
